Verve Arts Festival 2020

Verve 2020 is the 10th edition and made a comeback online, with the theme 'Tenacity'!

Verve is a community arts festival run by Year 2 Arts Business Management students with the aim to engage, empower and educate the communities. For Verve 2020, we hope to celebrate the tenacity in all of us. Whether it’s having the perseverance to pursue something you really believe or having the grit inside you to work around your situation to survive, everyone is tenacious in their daily lives.

With all the unknowns we face today, Verve 2020 aims to examine  how our own community has cope and to showcase our everyday artistic expression of living, learning and having hope for the future.

As for me, I was part of the programmes department and also helped out with the filming and logistics on the sidelines.

I was the co-creator of this episode and was part of the creative process behind the questions and games. On the day of the interview, I set up the camera angles, lights and did up the mic checks. Lastly, I was in charge of creating the editing footnotes and instructions (in google slides format) for the editing team.

NP 360 Arts Fiesta - Korean Cultural Club (KCC)

I was the artist liaison and filming crew for this specific episode of the NP 360 Arts Fiesta. I was required to contact the CCA and do up their artists contracts and completion of service documents. Before the filming day, I had to scout for a place to film and plan a trial film test with the dance crew for them to set their formations. On the filming day I had to set up the filming equipment. Lastly, during post-production I had to collect the soundtrack from the dance crew and send it to the editing team.

I also was in charge of liaising with Andrew Paul Chen for his schedule to carry out the interview. On the day of the interview, I carried out the briefing on the interview flow with Andrew and set up the lighting and mics. *Do click on the image to watch the full interview!*

I was in charge of the filming and logistics for the programme. I helped out in filming the individual interviews, the individual performance videos and the individual performance recordings. I was also required to do the filming set up (as seen from the video) and marking of the floors for the camera angles. Lastly, I helped keep check of the logistics count throughout the programme to ensure that it runs smoothly.
